Collier Jiang
About
Dr. Collier Jiang is a resident at the University of Calgary Ophthalmology Program. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honour’s Specialization in Physiology, followed by medical school at the University of Toronto. After medical school, he moved from Ontario to Alberta for his residency training.
Improving eye care access in underserved populations is a passion for Dr. Jiang, and he has published and presented on conducting eye disease screening in homeless communities. He is currently working on a project evaluating the impacts of the COVID pandemic on global ophthalmology surgery. Another research interest of Dr. Jiang’s is identifying novel uses of optical coherence tomography and OCT-Angiography in diagnosing and managing diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and diabetic retinopathy.
