Daniel Moroz

About

Dr. Moroz is a resident in the Ophthalmology Program. He was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and lived in Prince George, British Columbia, for several years during his childhood.  Dr. Moroz pursued a Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta followed by a Master of Arts in Theology at Knox College at the University of Toronto. He then pursued his Medical School at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2017. He is currently pursuing ophthalmology residency training at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Moroz’s research interests range widely from assessing novel treatments for myopic choroidal neovascularization to exploring the localization and patterns of dyschromatopsia in prosopagnosic subjects to utilizing corneal densitometry for timing surgery for Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy. He was awarded a hot topic award for a presentation at a recent Canadian Ophthalmology Society meeting. Dr. Moroz is passionate about comprehensive ophthalmology and plans to practice in the community upon graduation.

In his spare time, Dr. Moroz enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He is a competent reader in Koine Greek and Ecclesiastical Latin, as well as an avid amateur tennis player.
