Jeremy Moreau
About
Dr Jeremy Moreau was born in New York City and grew up in Montreal. He graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He went on to complete a PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University with Drs Roy Dudley and Sylvain Baillet. His postgraduate work focussed on applications of artificial intelligence to imaging in paediatric epilepsy and neuro-oncology. Dr Moreau then completed his MD at the University of Calgary before joining Calgary’s Ophthalmology program in 2023.
Dr Moreau has a strong interest in software development and building apps to address clinical needs. You can find some of his recent projects on GitHub or at ophtho.app. He is also on the team behind the OCT medical education platform, OCTcases (check out app.octcases.com for the app!)
Outside clinic, you might find Jeremy at a bakery, IKEA, or some hipster coffee shop. He enjoys swimming, cycling, and golf (although he is very bad at it). Despite being from NYC, he holds a strong belief that Montreal has the better bagels.
